Camaro Ground FX removal???

Im trying to get the lower half of the side ground fx of my '88 Camaro. I have it loose all the way to behind the door, in front of the fender. I need to know if there is some simple way to slide these off without breaking them. I took the ground fx off my '91 a few years ago and dont recall having this problem.

you have to take off the interior panel and the bucket part of the rear seat to get to the nut that holds the ground effect on. The hole is too small for most peoples hands, so you'll probably need an extension too.
