Hood Support

Hi guys

Well as we all know the gas support struts on are cars are pretty crappy.

I was woundering if anybody has done or found a way to permanetly found a way to support the hood.

In my case a kinda jury riged a hood support stick from a GMC truck, but i'd like for a more discret support, like the little stick for .... small new cars.
Anybody got any pic of suggestion please show me some shots of what you got.

Thx for you Support guys!

Someone makes a little collar for the piston end of the struts that clamps on and keeps the strut from collapsing, it uses a thumb screw to tighten down and when you want to close the hood/hatch, just loosen and let it slide to the bottom and close away.
