replacing fenders and quarter panels

I have a 90 camaro RS that has plenty of rust in all four wheel wells and keeps coming back after repair attempts fail. is it worth replacing both fenders and quarter panels. Does anyone know of a site that sells these panels at a reasonable price? Can anyone explain what all goes into replacing these panels, or knows a website that could show me how?

rear 1/4's don't come off, i would bondo it up and hurry it to maaco and sell that bad boy quick! our cars aren't worth enough money yet to start repairning rear quarterpanels, unless the car has sentimental value, i think you'd be better off finding one without the rust problem

I've also got some rust on mine. It's not too bad yet. I know there is a line in there somewhere where the lower part of the panel was wlded to the top half. I am just going to try to repair mine.
I don't see how you can say that it's not worth repairing. I'm sure there are cercumstances where it would be worth it. Such as having a freshly modded/rebuilt engine, good interior, and needing a paintjob. I would definately give it a fix if you have all those going for your car.
I personally am going to do the repair myself, which will make it a lot more worthwhile.
But hopefully you will work something out.
Oh, by the way, I also am looking for somewhere that sells panels off our cars. I guess you are going to have to go out to a salvage yard with one of those "nibblers"(cuts metal) and an air tank. Find a good car and take the quarter panels off of it. Then you will have something better to work with. I think my uncle did that for one of his cars.

Quater/Fender removal

A car isn't really yours unless you build it . You might as well repair it the right way now and not hacking it and regretting it later. It may not be worth much now but later down the road (if done right) it could be. (look at the 68 and 69's) The process in taking them off is painstaking. You have to drill all the spot welds out (about ummm alot ) Take it up the sail panel (to where you see fit) There is a seam, but I don't advise cutting it; unless you have an actual GM quater that has the lip to weld back onto the roof. (Because the roof overlaps onto the quater panel flange) Shortest distance up sail panel so when you weld on the new quater you won't have alot of "mud" in it. Grind where you plan on welding. When you weld it on don't butt it together; panel flange it, fit it up, shut door, trunk lid, make sure everything fits perfect.. on seam where you are going to weld, stitch weld in various spots so as it doesn't get too hot and distort the metal. It should be a continuous weld when your done. Grind the weld and mud work (try to use little mud) *If your quater is rusted that bad, you may have to repair or replace your wheel house. Another thing you can do, if you don't have a replacement quater is to cut out the rust and weld in new sheet metal. I wouldn't fill it with mud (although it may be cheaper) Better do it right the first time than having to do it over and have a real mess! I've been restoring "heaps" for many years, hope this helps. and good luck.
Added a picture of current "heap" just to show you the quater really do come off!! If you need anymore help or some added pictures give me an email I'll try to help.
