power hatch switch help!!!!

power hatch switch help!!!!

alright im getting really anoyed everytime that i go to open my hatch i have to turn off the car and take the keys to open the back cause my car doesnt have the hatch switch. so i need to know do i need the whole lock mechanism cillinoid in the back or just the switch im almost positive i need the whole thing but im just doube checking. If any1 has done this tell me what i need to do!!! im goin to the good 'ol boneyard!

You will need to get the power lock solenoid. It will attach to the lock mechanism you already have. It it very easy to install, two bolts and run one wire. You can get a used switch or go for a new one from GM.

yep, the case of the solenoid is attached to the negative chassis ground of the car. will be one other wire on the solenoid, attach this to your switch or aftermarket keyless entry system.
