Wiring for 4th Gen dash headlight swithc
I know some of you have had to do this to get the 4th gen dash functional, so what did you have to do to get the 4th gen dash headlight switch working with the 3rd gen wiring? I am sick of looking at the ugly pull ****, and I don't smoke so the cig lighter is long gone, covered by a power adaptor thingy from some GM car, and I was just going to mod the dash to accept some other headlight switch. I am thinking a newer model camaro would be best, but I think an older pontiac bonneville or a newer silverado( similar to the newer camaros) would work. So whats the deal on wiring this all up?
Thx

I'm in the process of wiring it up right now. I figure, get a wiring diagram for each year and line up the wires. It's a simple switch...it couldn't be that complicated. I ordered a shop manual for my 87 Firebird and got a copy of the cd's from the dealership for the 2001 Trans Am I got my dash from. Now all I have to do is determine which wires to splice....I'll let you know how it comes out....
