Sweet! Just like i said in the other post, the seat companies have basically the same style of seat in similar price ranges, just like car companies. -if that made any sense!- Nice interiors guys. I would like to get a set of the Sarcos, hopefully! any more pictures?

Superman, what did you mount the harness to? The floorboard? By the way, how comfortable are those seats?

Here's mine. When I bought it the previous owner had only the driver seat as he raced it and wanted a lightweight passenger seat. Once I save up another $600 for the seat, plus another $400 or so for the harnesses (will replace current as its over 3 years old...and will be going to a 6-point), I'll buy a matching one. Btw, its the Sparco Pro 2000 fiberglass seat, with the Sabelt 5-point harness w/ camlock buckle (can quickly buckle and unbuckle....really nice as it's my daily driver)

hey bak12484, can you actually get people into that backseat ? i'm prob tearing mine out bc i'm getting a cage ... how do u get them in ?

BAK12484, not offending you or the previous owner in anyway because im just curious ..... If the guy was saving weight and paid for a lighter seat, why didnt he just save the money and take out the back seats since the roll bar renders them useless??

Anyways, I still like it ... im stuck between refabricing my stock ones, 4th gen or aftermarket ones. My drivers seat has a couple tears in it, and the color is fading.

I would love to get 5 point belts for mine but don't know where I would mount the top two,,without a cage?

My opinion on this style of seat..
My seats are very comfortable to me because I'm skinny,,,some of my "larger" friends dont fit to well in the bottom.So if your more than about a 36" or 38" waist you might not want to sit in these everyday like I do.Or at least go sit in one befor you spend that $$.
If you are going to use your back seats at all get reclinable seats or your access is going to be little to none.

I like the tighter fit that holds you in there,I love the way they feel when your cornering.And they look great too.

Yes the harness is monted to the floorboard. As far as the seats being comfortable, Scott's85T/A pretty much summed it up. If your a larger person these seats will not be comfortable to ride in all day. To me they are perfect, I love the way they hold you tight. I don't know about the Sparcos, but the Corbeaus have a wide version seat that you can buy for larger people. I think its like a $45.00 option.

Sparco maks a seat called Evo. The Evo 2 is the same design, just for larger people. I do not know about the other seats in their line, but i do know of that one being larger!

What kind of seats are those? I looked at Corbeau site, and I dont see anything similar to the seats you have. They look great! Did you just mount them to the stock tracks?

First off, very nice job guys !!! How much are you guys paying for these seats and are you using aftermarket seat tracks? One more question, how is the seat height? I dont want to be any lower in the car than my stock seats are. Thanx guys:hail:

Since that picture was taken I have removed the rear seats myself...and before that, nobody sat in the back anyways. Gives me a reason not to drive a bunch of people everywhere
Well actually, there were a few occasions where I fit people back there.... nothing like watching a girl climb over the passenger seat into the back (...not like I was staring at her *** or anything...lol). Another time I opened the back hatch for my friend to crawl in. Those were the only two times people rode back there as it wouldnt not be safe at all if I were to get into an accident (also had 2 girls in the passenger seat once ). If you were to sit in the rear, you have about 6" between your face and the nice thick steel bar....not a very comfortable feeling.

And I too was wondering why the previous owner didn't remove the rear seats. He had the car built specifically for auto-cross racing, and he was telling me how strict the rules and regulations are (that's why my car still has stock heads/cam/pistons/etc..), and I am only guessing, but perhaps they also required that all seats be intact?? ...or he just didn't feel like spending close to $600 for a seat that nobody would sit in

scott's85T/A: If you want to install a 5 (or 6) point harness all you should really need is to purchase the 75" shoulder belts instead of the 48" ones that hook to the rollbar. You have a few options as how to mount them, but ideally you want the belt to be as horizontal as possible, so that'd probably mean attaching them at the rear hump...this would probably render the rear seat useless however.


Nasty_Bird_'90: I'm not really sure if mine are aftermarket or stock tracks. I pulled my driver seat out and drilled new holes in the slider track so I could mount the driver seat farther back (short asian guy owned it before )... I only had a few fitment problems, but just installed steel washers in certain places so I could install the tracks properly - - then just bolt the seat to the tracks, then the tracks to the body. As far as seat height, I don't have a stock thirdgen to compare it to, but from what I remember on my '90 RS, my Sparco sits at about the same height - - the passenger seat on the other hand sits a lot lower than the sparco.

My seats are the Corbeau Carrea type, and no they are not mounted on the stock tracks, although I have heard of a few guys modding the stock tracks to work. As for the height,with the sliders from Corbeau they raise you up a inch or so. I got my seats in a group purshase deal so I got a good price on them. They cost me $325 a seat and the sliders were like $45 a peice. I think the regular price is like $459 a seat and $75 for the sliders. Are your seats on the stock traks Scott?

I modified my orig. seat brackets,,the Sparco sliders and brackets put me up to high,,im 6'4"

Right now I have a single Sparco Sprint Racing seat w/4 point harness. But soon plan to put a new higher up model racing seat. I really dont like adjustible seats (not trying to talk ****) I consider them fake. Considering they are heavier then the stock seats and from what I hear alot of adjustible seats will snap if you crash. I like the look of hte full out race seats. More competitive looking and more usefulness.

Scotts85t/a what type of sparco seats are those, where did u get them along with what type and product number was the mounting brackets? the other question i had is if thats ur car the blue and gray, what is the rpo code for that blue cause its really nice. another thing if i get those seats and 4 or 5 point harnesses where can i mount them, cause i dont have a cage
