removing wiper arms

Ok, this probably seems like a stupid question, but I've lost my Haynes manual and I need to get the wiper arms off my '89 firebird before a respray

I just can't work out how they come off - they normally have a plastic cover over where they bolt up, and this cover rotates upwards to get to the fixings. There doesn't seem to be the same setup on these cars.

Any help you have would be great
Thanks!

There's a small lever (a lock, basically) under the base, first lift the wiper arm off the windshield, then pull the lever out. You may need a screwdriver.

That's great - I got them off easy.

That's a pretty clever setup - much better than being bolted on!

Thanks again
