T-Top Conversion

Ok i know it comes up a lot. I have a lot of work into my car. I want t-tops, and i am not going to be happy until I do. I have thought about buying a good t-top body and putting all of my **** in it. That would be great, however, i don't feel like doing all the work. So what if i cut off my roof and weld a t-top one on. Cut the 2 pillars, and the rear sails. Marks Custom Kits does this for 1500 bucks. Even if i remove the interior get a donor top and have a body shop do it will it be worth it. I am not going to spend 1500 i could get a whole car for half that.
What do you guys think? Am I carzy?

You can get it done cheaper. The only reason Mark's Custom Kits charges so much is because he takes your car finds a doner t-top and then hires out a reputable body shop to do the work. If you find your own doner car and take it to a good body shop it shouldn't be $1500
