Spring in window assembly came off.

Spring in window assembly came off.
I was replacing the motor for my power windows, and the damn spring on the arm sprang loose (darn near took my finger off in the process)..
So the question is this, I got the spring back in, but how many turns to properly load the spring again before I bolt the new motor to the assembly??
