How much for a nice 92 LO3 Bird?

I'm looking at this car now. It's a red 92 Firebird with the Ground FX package. New paint, 15" Deep Dish Firebird rims, power everything, T-Tops, nice interior, no rust. It's not mint but close to it. 96K on it, engine and tranny are good. I need a daily driver and I wouldn't mind another bird.

Thanks

You should look around, especially at this time of year. I paid $2500 for my 86 IROC, 305 TPI, auto, t-tops, very good condition with 83k on it.

it really depends on the car, and person, I personally would pay more for a Formula than a base Firebird, but thats me...

96K is not too bad for an LO3, but there the dog of the V-8's that year, the up side is you will not have to replace the springs if you go to a 350...

I guess that would be fair to say about 3K tops in my book for a nice lookin clean one... shiny paint

I've seen anyware from $2000-4000 for clean 92's. The mileage is pretty good and if its real clean and loaded, expect it to be on the high side-closer to $4000.

I remember back in 97 when I was selling cars at the Pontiac dealer, we got in this super clean 92 Firebird on trade. It was black with no ground effects(which I think looks cooler and is MUCH rarer) with a black interior. It had a 305 TBI and a 5spd with 42,000 miles. Plus power windows and locks. We were asking $6995 for it and they were going to sell it to me for $5500. I ended up getting my 48,000mi Formula for $4800 the following week. It was a nice car though, and the LO3 felt torquey enough.

I would say more in 3k-4k area for a clean 92. You know 80% of used 3rd gens out there are ragged out.
Back in 96 when I bought my Formula, I looked for a 88-92 Firebird for 3 months before I found one so suit me! ( and thats in Houston)

Peace

I had an LO3 in a 91 Formula, and with headers (not sure all of the upgrades) but I could chirp the tires, I think whoever owned it before me did some upgrades to the cam etc... it was not nearly as fast as my 87's but it wasfun to drive...

I sold my old 92 bird with the gfx for 5750.

But consider that it was MINT. The mileage was up there...but you could go over that car with a fine toothed comb and come up empty.
