For practicality the dash above the instrument panel is simply too high. These car's have long front ends as it is, and you want to remove even more of your FOV?
Styling wise its not too bad, but it needs refinment. The monotone red is everywhere, its just plain dull. Even though its too bright.

And where exactly did you find this???.....
Hey wait a second, i think i answered my own question.....is that he K-1 EVo kit car?? The floor mats gave me the slue.........

yea it's the K 1 interior. http://www.k1-styling.sk/ it's about $765 and they sat it bolts right in. It also has door pannels. I still dont know what I think about it.

For the most part it looks good, but the stock gauge bezel looks like a fish out of water. It doesn't match the flow of the rest of the dash.
I also hate to think about what's involved with pulling out that center console. From the looks of it, the whole dash would have to come out.

I planned on doing this before the I did the Evo II Kit. But I have since then decided a 4th gen T/A interior looks better (like Jim pointed out, the stock cluster ruins the K1 interior). So now I will be going with a 98+ T/A interior. They cost about the same in the end (unless you get a crazy jukyard deal) but the 4th gen stuff requires some retro-fitting.
i'm ashamed to say this, but i liked it.......
for all of 2 seconds until i snapped out of being stupid. Then i realized i could put a full blown civic interior in my car and have it look better and prolly for cheaper too!!!!

I really do not care for the K-1 Interior, it looks too much like something that you simply cap on... its too bulky for my tastes thats all...
I guess I like most of it except for around the Instruments... make it look custom if your going to go custom, don't do it half way...

I'm glad to see another choice for our cars.
FruityOne has a good point; add a cowl hood to that. I would think aftermarket gauges arranged different would be better. It's fiberglass an easy task to change. My concern is does it rattle and or squeak (bigger amp fixes that)?

The only thing I don't like is the dash, the center console, the door panels, the seats, the floor mats, the color, the style, and the design.
I like the Momo wheel, but hate the color on that too.

I was looking at that Evo interior in this post today, and then I went out with my girlfriend. We happened to be in her car, a Saturn SL1, and I noticed the dash in the SL1 is damn near identical to the Evo II Kit interior. Saturn's a subsidiary of GM, the same as Chevy, and that got me thinking if maybe a swap would work.

Would it be possible to make your own dash? I mean, all you would have to do is buy a giant block of styrofoam or something, and cover it in aluminum foil of something, then put on your fiberglass and the gel coating. I mean, the styrofoam can easily be shaped by means of tools. I have seen a thin steel wire with power put through it to heat it used to cut styrofoam. That way, it can cut the styrofoam very cleanly. All that would be needed was some way to make clean cuts since any slight movements would take large chunks out of the styrofoam. Once the fiberglass has hardened (after sanding and painting or whatnot), you just need to make new brackets for the back and mount it back on the firewall. I don't see how this wouldn't work.
I think the only problem is setting up the mold. If only it could easily be done.

I didn't mean make the panels out of sytrofoam, but to make a form from styrofoam and cover that with fiberglass to make the panel.
I do like that flame interior though. That's the kind of stuff I wish I could do. Just need to learn to sew I guess. I'd like to make some new seat covers that look top quality. Is there any way to make your own leather seats?

Now that Tan interior just plain kicks. Simply beautiful. Not too overdone, nice blend of color without being distracting. Very tasteful. Course, I can see the similarites between it and the Ferrari. ^_^
ahh!
you guys are all forgetting the #1 thing.
if your console is to high, how the hell are you going to have sex in your car?!
i was going to have a custom console made for my bird, that sat about 4 inches lower

1. LAY PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BACK
2. POP T-TOPS OUT (for extra head room)
3. USE YOUR IMAGINATION.
LOL
To compare the interior of a Ferrari or Lambo to the Evo kit is just plain dumb. I know you're probably just comparing the look, and not necessarily the quality (which would be even dumber), but it just doesn't make sense. The Evo interior kit looks like a prop from somebody's camcorder-in-the-basement Star Trek production. The interior of an Italian exotic oozes with refinement, and titillates four of the five senses. All five if you lick the seats.
Yeah, but people are judging a kit by that one picture. I think it looks gaudy, and it's mostly the color that ruins it, not to mention the stock gauges. If it was done in black, with cleaner gauges, I doubt many would complain. Factory is nice, but I'm really sick of hearing the "if it's not factory, it's rice" complaints. Guess people better take back all those "performance parts" they put on thier car, because it didn't come from the factory that way. To each thier own. Different isn't rice. Putting Type R badges on a Mustang is.

Heres is my crappy photoshop of some different gauges in the car. I agree completly that it looks awesom and some other gauges would be easy to do with it and would look great. Also the headlight **** could easilly be replaced with a simple switch looking a lot better with the kit. Also its gotta be in black.
