GTA head rests

I have the a 89 GTA but the driver seat head rest is stuck all the way out. The seats in GTA's have a **** that allows you to adjust the heas rest closer or farther back. Mine is stuck all the way out. Any Ideas on how to fix this. has this happened to any one else? My old 88 GTA never had a problem with this. Pleas help its driving me crazy.
Thanks

Does anything happen when you turn the ****? It sounds like it's stripped inside. You can remove the ****, belt loop, and bezel and see if you can turn it with a needle nose plier.

To take everthing else apart, you will need to remove the headrest from the seat. You need a thin piece of sheet metal for this( about 1.5" x 8 inch) to insert into the headrest post hole in the seat. This will release the tension on the headrest and you can just pull it out. Then maybe you can see whats going on better.

I think all of the headrest parts are still available from GM. Thats where I got mine.

Good luck.
