crane cam 2032 and edelbroc heads 60859
Hello all , I'm very new here and wish to ask some questions . I have a 87 trans am GTA 5.7L TPI with full on intake and exhaust , I want to add the crane cam 2032 with edelbroc complete heads 60859 . Now ( my question is may I use the components that come with the heads or do I have to change parts out to agree with the cams specs? ) Crane emailed me a list cam-104224, lifter-10530-16, valve springs-96802-16, pushrods-10621-16, timing set-10975-1 and roller rockers-10750-16 . Then this was cut out from a pdf from edelbroc......Rocker Arms: Stock (stamped) type rocker arms will require
+.100" longer-than-stock hardened pushrods (Edelbrock #9629) to
maintain proper geometry. The valve springs supplied will
accommodate valve lifts up to .575", which is much higher than
stock rocker arms will allow. Long-slot stamped or roller rocker
arms will be required if your camshaft has more than .480" lift....now I'm really confused , ( do I use stock length pushrods or the ones crane 10621-16 pushrods ? ) My apologies for the story long post but I just want the right parts and do it right the first time

That cam is a very mild hydraulic roller. Lift of about .460". You don't need anything special in terms of rocker arms. Factory stamped steel will work just fine.
You DO need hardened pushrods, however. Those heads use steel guideplates which will cut through stock non-hardened pushrods in only a few hundred miles.
I can't tell you for sure if you need stock length or +.100" sticks without a mockup (you probably need the longer sticks, if I had to guess). But Summit has you covered in either case. They sell their house brand hardened pushrods in stock and +.100" length for dirt cheap- about $25 a set. They're all you'll ever need in a mild performance application.

Nice , hardened it is . Crane's recommend pushrods areally 7.178 and stock are 7.2 but the edelbroc is saying to go longer
