I did it in my '82. It's not a simple bolt in but possible. I have been slowly writing an article for it but haven't had time to finish and without pictures it probably wouldn't be terribly useful. But do a search and see. There is some good info that has been posted. Especially how to repin the gauge cluster connectors, which can be difficult.
