For those of you with 82-84 TA's with this option, How is attached to the center console? I would like to put one on my 90..somehow.

Does anyone have one they want to sell?

They're attached w/those plastic plugs--the type that attaches the little map pockets in birds.

cool..thanks Tony. At least now I know I can rig it to fit on my 90 console.

The only problem now is finding one.

Your best bet is to l@@k in any and all junkyards that have the 83-84 t/a's or find the BIGGEST friggin' sponge and cut to fit ,cause it's only foam with a aluminum plate slightly bent to fit.

Have one of those in my 1992 Trans Am, got it out of a junkyard and replaced the little plastic clips in the back with new ones and drilled holes to fit it into the console......is an excellent piece to have when ur driving on a long road trip......great mod to do for our Firebirds....
