ebrake slips

my ebrake slips and i dont know why. i have a stick so i just keep it in reverse when parked but i still want the ebrake to work

What do you mean by "slips"? Does it engage at all but wont hold the car? Does the handle go all the way up with little or no tension? Does the handle not stay in the locked position? Need more info please!

If it goes up but doesnt feel like its holding tighten your rear brakes up, a lot of peopel used to losen the back brakes to burnout better but that affected the ebrake. The previous owner on my cousins formula 350 did that and hes gotta heve em tightened

the ebrakes on our cars suck *** stock anyways....if i ever have to park on steep hills or anything i just grab something from inside my car and throw it behind the rear tire...you can neva be too careful

my ebrake cable actually snapped when i pulled on it, that was in just and i still havent fixed it ... cables are expensive.

my car has a self adjusting e-brake.
one day it just started slipping al the way up and did not engage at all.. i sprayed some wd-40 or somthing that does the same thing on the mechanism and the lines.. and then it broke loose and started working properly again..
