Dash problems

I am sure this has been asked several times but I am curious as to how to keep the dash from cracking right above the center console. It started at about .5" crack.....now it has grown to about 2.5" crack......help to stop the insanity! Also, how do you repair the crack already present?

I know this isn't the easy solution you and I both need, but www.justdashes.com is a source for a recovered one. When I get that far down on the restoration list I will call upholstery shops in my area to see if they can do anything.

Thanks for the response; I am actually having trouble with the portion of the dash under the dash pad.....it is cracked quite badlyon the upper right corner where the center console attaches to the dash....it is the only thing wrong in my interior...I just redid the entire thing.....

I've seen it happen many times. The stress from the car bending cracks them. the best way to fix it is to replace the whole dash
