Sorry to tell ya, but it wont work. I recently polished my wheels, and tried the dremel route first. It dosent spin fast enough to do any good. What I did was bought a snap on die grinder, and that worked superb. It has to be a fast one, like 40,000 rpm's i think, and have the tork. The drmel has the rpm's but dosent really do it for some reason. Just to let you know.

Just for fun one time I tried to see how well the edges of my camaro wheels would shine up by polishing with my dremel and I got pretty good results.

You have to sand off the clearcoat and then work up to the polishing stage but once their done it's easy to maintain. Just don't push hard when your polishing so you can keep the RPM's up, push only hard enough to work the buff, not slow it down.

You're right. It is a kit, consisting of a die grinder, 5 stones, air nipple and wrench. They wouldn't list the "air requirement" for the tool if it were only a tool accessory kit without the die grinder.

So when using a die grinder you just use the normal grit bits you'd use if polishing by hand? like 180, 220, etc. working your way up?

My bad. It is a crap kit though. 22000 rpm wont get you very far. I have a 40000 and it does the trick, I cant imagine using anything less than around 30000.
