Pulling Light Swtich off?

I am installing a tach in my 91 camaro. And I was wondering ... how do you get the light switch off so that I can access the cluster and begin connecting all the wires. I have everything else apart but im having a hard time pulling the light switch off. And I have a chiltons but that isn't helping me too much.
Any advise is helpful.

Sean

I am assuming that you are referring to the headlight switch ****? If you are there is a little retainer clip holding the **** to the shaft. You need to wrench your neck as far to the back of the **** as possible and you should be able to see the edge of the clip. I have found that most of these ***** have a little notch where the clip is. If you're with me so far, use a VERY small screw driver, and while applying pressure towards you on the clip, pull the **** off.

Like I said this is an assumption as to your application.

Or you can pull really hard on the ****. It and the clip will come off. REALLY hard.
