Is the Ram Air II hood functional in any way with a 305 throttle body?

i am sure it could be made to function as "ram air" but as is, it will def help get cold air to the engine.

That's what I'm trying to figure out... they sell a Ram-Air box for it but the way it's designed looks like the air is allowed to pass right over the box. So true it would act as a very good CAI but have a very mild if any ram effect. I figure if it's like that I might as well just get one of those cone filters that fits directly on the end of the throttle body.

Can you notice the difference between having the holes cut or not? Would it do anything if I just have the holes cut and have no affect of Ram Air?

Any "ramming" effect would get stopped when it hits the air filter (at least until you hit 200mph) - by stopped I mean, the engine will be sucking air faster than any "ramming" going on. Cool air is always good however.

The only "ram" air worth a damn is "compressed" air via super/turbocharger.
