Ls1 guages......final answer!

Got the ****ers to work finally.

Heres the only problems:

Tach: Its not calibrated for a v8
Fuel.....i think its computer controlled, cant get it to work so aftermarket is the best bet!

Pita, a wiring headache, but well worth it now!

Tach interface box from dakota digital. If your goign with lt1 guages, then this shouldnt be an issue, but it is on the ls1 guages. Nice to see me pegging 7k lol.

what are you going to do about the gap at the windshield? Weird that a LS1 tach is wired for a 4 cyl.....hmmm...maybe I have hopes for my car? lol

The LS1 isn't thought of as a v8, more of 2 4 bangers. Remember it isn't a single coil and a dissy, it isn't even waste spark, it's CNP (Coil Near Plug). So there is no way to just tap into the coil's ground wire to get the tach signal. Well there is, but keepin it simple: LS1's are so advanced that their computers can not only detect knock but in WHICH cylinder and control that cylinders timing! This is one reason why they accept mods so well. Another is the fact that they have a great exhaust and so whatever kind of air/fuel you can get into it, it'll eat up and make the big ponies. Hence the whole larger intake lift and duration to make power on the LS1. But anyways, this is cool that you got it to work. I hope you've got pictures .
edit: Just went to website, so scratch the need for pictures. Looks awesome!

I just noticed that you had the Mr Mikes seats and the red interior, do you have flame red or carmine? I'd actually like to see a nice leather seat replacement that goes with the carmine interior.
