Spoiler Swap
Spoiler Swap
I have an '89 Formula with the wrap around spoiler on the back. It is cracked and the paint is too. I would like to replace it with just a "wing" type spoiler from a non-formula firebird. Is this possible? Has anyone did it? I'm pretty sure the mounting holes don't line up and I would prefer to just remove the brake light but is there a big hole underneath it? Any advice would be appreciated.

Maui..........the stock spoiler looks kinda lame if you ask me and it wont bolt up the same as the whale tail type you have on there now.........look for a 91-92 GTA rear spoiler.......the pre 4th gen one that is small and sleek looking.......go to ebay and there is a guy who sells them from Ohio.....just click on ebay motors and parts then do a search under Firebird........once you see it you will know what im talking about, it will bolt right up to your rear deck lid also......his opening bids start out at $150.....kinda steep but he sells all different colors for our cars so you may be able to get one in your color match already..........good luck....
