Has NE1 here recovered their dash pad?

Thinking about making my own door panels and simply recovering my dash pad to save a few bucks. Anyone just "recovered" their pad instead of forking the dough for a new one? If so...have any pics?

i'm just in the process of finishing this very project up. what did it cost? $25 cdn for enough black immitation leather (vinyl) to recover the dash, and center console.

i'm heading back home friday and will finish the job up then, so expect pics on saturday maybe.

the dash looks very good actually, unique and in not one way tacky. makes more sense then shelling out $80 + for a used pad or hard vinyl cover.
