dieting: lighter hatch? fiberglass front clip?

Where to find a lighter hatch alternative other than the notchback? I have a rollbar so it won't work, and it wouldn't look to nice on my Z anyway. Want to put on a fiberglass hood and lighter hatch, along with gutting my jute padding from the floor, aluminum heads, tubular K-member, race seats, etc...just want the car to retain A/C and stuff. Anybody know whereI can get some thing like a lexan rear hatch? I saw them before but can't find where....

Now about the front clip...I've seen 1 piece replacement friberglass front clips for thrdgen IROC-Z's...anybody have any more info on this? It better install itself for the price...I heard they allow the front end to open up like a Vette Any more info?

There are places that make a LEXAN rear glass piece for Racing.

Don't know where tho... Last I heard it was about 1000 for all of the glass in LEXAN for a 'bird of 'maro...

this would probably have to be RACE ONLY mind you... LEXAN scratches REALLY REALLY easy...

Car: Camaro of course
http://www.rodnrace.com/ [Mostly fullrace, but have the hatch]

http://www.hairyglass.com/camaro.html [Have more standard fiberglass stuff]

http://www.up22.com/camaro82.htm#C-405R&L
[Like last URL, but has latch hood, and other stuff]

check out these guys, they have the fiberglass hood, front clip, bumper, rear hatch. Just make sure you get one that isn't total race, otherwise it wont work w/ the factory pulldown, and the latch hood.

Hope this helps

just wondering, why do you want to lighten the rear? its already fairly light...

and IIRC lexan isn't street legal and flexes far too much to be practical for the street anyway
