late 4th gen Camaro seats?

Ok, i know they will fit in my 1987 Trans Am but I need to know something that someone here may be able to help me with:

In a 2002 Camaro, were the only seats available the "integrated headrest" type or could you buy it with fully adjustable "Trans Am" style bucket seats with a separate headrest?

I need to know because a local scrapyard has a set of seats from a 2002 Camaro coming in a few weeks and he doesnīt know what type they are. (they are currently in a container over the Atlantic somewhere..) I only want the Trans Am type and he isnīt keen on holding them for me if they turn out to be standard Camaro-type seats and me not buying them.

(Donīt get me wrong, the Camaro seats look sweet, but I really want the deep buckets of the Firebird)

So, if anyone can confirm if you could ONLY get Camaros with standard Camaro seats, that will ease my mind! I know that you could get them in the early 90īs...

I tried contacting Chevrolet but itīs near-impossible to send in a query not related to a current model...

Thanks,

/Joe

I'm pretty sure the 4th gen camaros all have the same flat type seat. The TAs have the more full and, in my opinion, comfortable seat.

Well, Iīve been in a 1998 Camaro that had "Firebird type" seats, but the Chevrolet website only shows the "Camaro type" seats for the 2002 model.

When I was looking for my 4th gen Camaro seats, I ran into many new TA seats and they all had the seperate head rests. All the Camaros that I saw had the one piece back. This is just what I saw in the last few months of searching. HTH

Hmmm...sounds like I should be looking for T/A seats instead of Camaro ones......
