hi i am new to the board , i was wondering what year this trans am is ? i think its like a 84 not sure i bought it for the rear end . now i am going to part out what is left over . it has one of those factory type ram air hood were it draws air from the back of the hood ? what years did they use this hood ? it was a carberated car . it has te newer 85 style tail lights . i have no paper work on this car so i have no idea ? please help thanks chad

 

read the VIN number and look at the 10th digit. Here is the breakdown for the years:
