Are hatches on 83 models heavier than 84? Trying to figure if the wore out shocks on my 83 are pulling the hatch down appearing to be heavy. While the hatch on my 84 is light with wore out shocks. 83 has defroster and 84 doesn't...maybe that makes a difference also. Can someone shed some light please?

i dunno bout weight and stuff, but i know those struts are very weight senstive, i put a fiberglass firebird wing on my camaro and struts never worked again, my hood i added hood pins, and those never worked again...i dunno what to do about how to get stronger ones or anything...u could just cau a piece of 2x4 and use that
