I am looking for a company...
that makes plastic/lexan t-tops.I want them to make me some that I can paint the body color, and some that are deeply tinted like stock. I have the glass ones, and they are a little to heavy for any racing, but I will not have much storage for them once the roll cage is in. I would like to remove the rear seat and make a strap/net system to set them and lock them into.
TIA

Well Tia, I am planning on making replacement Acrylic for the T-tops. You would need an original set of plastic tops for me to start with, I would be replacing just the acrylic portions.
The reason for this is actually quite simple, the acrylic tops are braced in the front and rear with strips of steel, otherwise they are too flexible, I need the strips.
I might look into this this weekend.

Will it be solid or clear? If solid, is that paintable without peeling in the heat? Seems that the paint wouldn't be able to cure to it.

Solid or clear....
Actually the material is the same, IF you want it a dark gray, like a limo tint we could do that. If you want it clear, so you could see the paint on the bottome side we could do that. The only difference in the material would be the color of it. Paint Sticks really well to Plexiglas (Acrylic)...
So I guess I might not understand your question...
Plex is prime/paintable, and I doubt that heat would actually cause the paint to peal on the t-tops any more than it does on your steel.
