Vortech TBI Supercharger...
$1500
I have a Vortech TBI Satin Supercharger kit that I have pieced together. This kit is for a Chevy/GMC 2 barrel TBI engine only. I believe the years range from 1988-1995.
It is mostly complete but needs some minor things. It will needs some bolts, an air filter and the lower crank pulley set up... which would also depend on what vehicle you were going to put it in. It uses a 2 piece pulley adapter that goes over the top of the crank pulley you already have on your vehicle.
Anyway... the Blower is an V-1 A Trim and has never been run. (YES that means its not USED and is brand new still.) The A Trim maxes out at 6-8lbs. of boost non inter-cooled and 8-10lbs. of boost inter-cooled... not a huge power adder but it will give you a good chunk of power. I was going to put it on a 180hp TBI and that would've gotten it up to an estimated 260hp give or take. Of course if you start out with a stronger engine... you will gain a bit more but all in all a good 80-110 hp in general but it will really depend on the set up you have and how its tuned out.
I also have an Edlebrock TBI intake that is used but in good condition and been properly cleaned up.
The kit has a brand new supplementary fuel injector plate that goes in between the throttle body and the intake manifold. It has two small injectors built into it and it operates off of a Haltech mini- computer as vacuum increases/decreases. It basically acts like an on/off switch for the secondary injectors. This is brand new as well. The black rubber tubing still has the packaging powder all over it.
I have all the air intake tubing that goes with it... as well as the Vortech air box... which is brand new and it's never installed on an engine... it even has the inspection sticker still on it.
The whole kit is in real good shape... the supercharger, the air box, the secondary injectors, mounting brackets and ball mill mounting plate are unused and in brand new condition. The air tubes and the intake manifold are the only thing that has been used previously. The black stretch tube needs to be replaced but the rest of the tubes are real clean.
Back in the 90's this kit retailed for $3300. I have pieced it together off of ebay for much less. I am not going to build the engine I intended on building and it has been sitting in a box untouched for about 4-5 years.
If you have any questions email me and I will try to answer your questions.
Oh and one more thing... because the blower hasn't been used... its still eligible for a full $1000 trade-in under Vortech's blower unit exchange program. Information for that is found here:
http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...ange%20Program
For instance... I was going to exchange it for an SQ Trim....
If you would like to see the way it looks installed on an engine... click this link...

(I am NOT affiliated with this company... they are the only place online I can find a picture of the kit installed on an engine.)
Here are the pictures... enjoy... and thank you for looking.

Re: Vortech TBI Supercharger...
...and just so you know... it DOES NOT work on the 7.4 TBI.... but the secondary fuel injection plate can be bored over... or even recreated.... to utilize the larger 454 TBI. This is what I was going to do... overbore everything to increase the incoming air flow. If I remember correctly the A Trim output was like 750-850 cfm... which is great for the larger 54mm 454 TB. The A Trim can still create over 400hp... this was the same unit that Mustangs first started using.
The main difference between the A-Trim and the S- Trim is that the A-Trim has straight cut vanes and the S-Trim has curved vanes. This makes the S-Trim more efficient then the A-Trim. In the end.. .this means that this particular unit needs to be push 2lbs more boost to achieve what the S-Trim can produce with a smaller blower pulley.
The other thing is... if you had a multi-port 4 barrel fuel injection system on a Gen 1 engine... you could just use brackets and unit without the 2nd set of injectors at all.

Nope... this unit has a curved outlet that would position the air tube to the top of the engine whereas and the TPI version would need to be a straight outlet to position the air tube to the front of the engine.

...and just to let everyone know I am not piecing this kit out... this is an entire kit and I intend on keeping it together.
I looked up all the individual pieces on ebay and separately... they all add up to almost $2100.00.
For instance the Supplementary fuel injection system is still going for $200 bucks on ebay...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VORTECH-SUPE...-/110767702296
The cast bracket was purchased brand new from Vortech and it was over $300. Like I said before... the A Trim unit is still eligible for a $1000 trade in because it is brand new and unused.
So those 3 items alone are worth around 1500 by themselves. The rest of the pieces are just along for the ride...
The entry level carb'd kit from Vortech costs $2100... so... put this into perspective when you are considering the price... there is a lot of stuff here...
