hood scoop

I'm going to put the L88 hood scoop onto the steel hood of my car. JCWhitney has it in ABS Plastic, up22.com has it in fiberglass. which one should I get, the glass one?

the glass one would be better, more rigid. althogh getting it to look ok would be tough. you are better off just getting an l88 hood for your car.

good luck

i don't have $500 to blow on a hood, otherwise i would just buy the ss hood from ascd. this car has a tight budget, so external mods will be home made.

Are you going to mold that scoop on with fiberglass or are you just going to bolt it on? Let me know how it turns out because i have been thinking about doing the same thing...

I'm going to cut the hole out, then glass it to the underside of the hood, and use a little filler to hide the seam op top of the hood. as long as i can cut the hole nice and centered, i don't think it will be all that hard.

I don't think I would cut a hole the size of the scoop you might weaken the hood too much.
