How do I get vomit out of interior?

Today, we had a big get together family reunion kind of thing at my moms house. My wife was watching her sister's 10 month old daughter. I wanted to show some people my GTA, so we drove it despite the fact that my guages weren't working because the fuses kept blowing. I tracked that down to the EGR valve tonight, but on the way home, it was dark, so I had to use the headlights and I was listening to the headlight ding for 20 miles. The baby was teething and seemed to be running a fever. She screamed ALL the way home, and I was about to lose it listening to the constant dinging and screaming. It all culminated to the moment when the kid did the projectile vomit all over the interior of my car. It's cloth. REally nasty. I'm driving along, the kid is really screaming now, my wife is screaming, and I'm screaming because I have vomit on my interior! I cleaned it up the best I could, we gave the kid back to her mom, and now my interior smells like vomit. How do I get it out?!?!? I HATE the smell of vomit! Now that my son is 5 years old, I forgot what all that screaming, pooping, vomiting stuff was like. It's great when they can wipe their own ***! I hated when kids get that green poop that blasts out so hard it blows out the diaper and up their back. YUCK! I was thinking for a while it would be cool to have another kid. I told my son tonight that he will be an only child. How do I make the vomit go away?!? Matt

I have good luck getting pretty-much anything out by using spray-n-wash. My old beater impala looked like the previous owner hauled greasy engine blocks in the back seat, but spray n wash, a scrub brush, and a bucket of water got it out. If it'll take out grease, I'm sure it'll take out baby puke.

It may sound strange, but my father has had success in using WD-40 in removing smells. If you've ever heard of Daltherm....it gets that smell out.

Here's what he does....wash whatever in soap and water. Get it real clean. Then soak with WD-40 and let it air dry. Wd-40 smell goes away and the stink that was there is no more.
