stock placement for power window switches and a custom place for the switches

I am getting ready to install power windows and I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of stock window switches in an 89 camaro and prehaps the gap from the sides and between them so I can get them in the exact place they should be. Also I was wondering if anyone has moved them to a more custom spot and if so where. Any ideas where to put the switches that would look cool and be custom? I thought about right above the heater on that little ledge....any more ideas? Thanx alot!

In the first pic (its not a GREAT shot), you can see where the factory switches went.

While im here, any chance of decreasing the font size in that sig of yours? Its a major PITA for those of us without scroll mouses...

I think a nice custom spot would be on the doors somewhere. I never did like having the switches in the middle.

I thought about that, but then I would need one more switch so I could control the window on the pass and the drivers side from the drivers side. I think I am gonna keep them in the middle...I like that location, right next to my electric trunk latch. Why would they make a car w/ power locks and power hatch, but no power windows? They cant save that much money.

If your putting them in, id check out Powermites post about his aluminum inserts he put in. He got some nice billet window switches that look a little nicer than the factory ones..... (unless youre getting switches with the new ones....)

I think putting them in the door was more money because wiring them in there, like you said, more switches, etc. I love mine in the console

Sig looks better, now if we could just shrink down that pic
