On way to practice today a lady in an suv hit me from the side. There is one super small dent next to the door handle, and a few scractches in the paint(which I don't really care about because I am painting the car). Unfortunately she also took off my door handle on my drivers side. It is an 88 iroc-z. The handle part is fine, but the base it attaches too is broken partially off. What I need to know is is this part seperatable from the door, or am I going to need a new door. I don't have time or tools to look myself, and also being it was her fault, I need to know for financial reasons.

youll have to take the arm rest off, then the door panal, make sure the windows rolled up and just look for the 2 wierd looking nuts and take them off. u will just have to buy a new door handle thats it. make sure when u got the new one hooked up its hooked up right, i closed my door b4 i tested it and i couldent open it so i had to take the handle off from the inside, its not too fun
