Stone deflector in the front fender
Can someone please post up a picture on how the inner fender stone guard correctly sits in the fender?
At one stage, the inner fender stone guard has been removed and put back on, but the tires rub a little on the plastic
Is it affixed externally on the fender lip, or does it go behind the fender lip and clipped in?
Hope I have described this ok.
Thanks

i have em in the front all around....but in the back i have em towards the front but not in the back.............and does anyone know how much the front ones are...my tires hit and are making holes.......
I don't know what you meant in the last post
But I think I do in the first. If I read correctly, mine are attached "externally" to the fender lip, not covered up by it. The only places I have any rubbing is on the inboard side (my driver's side tire rubs when turning right, etc).

re inner fender stone guard
Hi Mike,
Mine are rubbing when the wheel is almost on lock, so I thought this may be because it had been reinstalled incorrectly.
So the stone guard is just attached with it on the outer of the fender lip all the way arround, and not on the inner side of the lip?

bubba,
Yep, that's the one. I'm still not sure what you were saying
. Maybe talking about the clips that hold it in?
vinnie,
It sounds to me like mine are the same as yours. The inside edge of the tires (stock size) rubs when the wheels are turned to the max. The plastic liner is installed so that it covers the folded under lip of the metal fender.

The plastic push pin retainers are used to hold the outer edge to the outside of the fender lip. Now there are a few screws that hold the plstic on the inside of the fender well. Yours could have worked there way out over time...now my ties are larger tehn stock and scrubb quite a bit...do you have the stock size tires on your car?
I have no pics though. I believe there are 3-4 screws that hold the inner edge to the body!

redraif, good call. I forgot about the screws in there. Remember a long time back, I was gonna get you some pictures of my door panels? If not, sorry i bring it up
. But if so, my camera broke and then the fabric on the panels started to peel back. So they wouldn't do much good for that anymore. I'm pretty sure it was you looking for pics of those panels about a year ago anyways...

yes, stock 245/50 16's
I am going to replace the push in clips as a couple of them aren't holding and also make sure that it is all lined up correctly.

With stock tires you should not be scrubbing unless something is misaligned with the fender well panel...
