they sure are taking their sweet time arent they....i emailed them the other but no response yet
I cannot believe how long this is taking. I apologize to everyone that's been waiting so long, as I myself have been pretty busy and unable to post updates very frequently. This buy-in has not fizzled out or anything, it WILL get sorted out and set up. I will post again with the link when it is up.
Update... again
OK, I spoke to S/R today and they inform me that the buy-in will be up either today or tomorrow. The delay was in retooling for the hvac and auto shift plate overlays, which they haven't done before. It's been a long wait, but I believe it will be worth it in the end!
I'm keeping on their *** hardcore since they didn't have it up over the weekend. Yet again they said "he" will be working on it tonight, whoever that is. If it's not up by tomorrow morning, I'm raising hell. Not only is this making their lazy asses look bad, but it's making me look bad here, too. Sorry for all this crap, guys.
Well, we have more delays on the way. I badgered the hell out of Shaun from S/R on Tuesday, and it looks like the buy-in is being pushed back about 2 weeks. They've recently lost an employee, and are relocating their warehouse, which means they are currently completing all paying orders and not setting up new ones (buy-ins) until they are done. He apologized profusely for all the delays (especially for saying he'd have it set up over two weeks ago), and in all honesty, I don't see much choice in waiting or moving on, since noone else offers these services. I hope all of you are willing to wait another two weeks for these. In regards to the replacement overlays for the gauge cluster, anyone that returned them should be getting them in the mail next week. If not, let me know, and I'll light a fire under Shaun's ***. I'm expecting replacements as well.
I'm trying my best to get this sorted out, so just bear with me here. Yet again, I apologize for all this BS.

Just thought you guys would like to know that the buy-in is up, but they're using the regular indiglo, not the reverse.
Anyway here's the link:

I sent an email enquiring about the reverse indiglo instead of the regular and this is what they said:
They were talking about those certain year models where there is actually a gear indicator. Are you guys that have these year models willing to give that part up. If so, I think we can do the reverse indiglo.
That is the problem we are running into. We can make the A/C panel in reverse, but the shift plate is a small panel, that we can do in white face but there is nothing to glow, unless we make the panel itself glow like the two color. The numbers and letters of the gears need to light up from behind, so that you can see what gear you are in, so what is supposed to be reverse? The only thing I can see doing is making them have an out line around the numbers and letters that glow, but I do not know how that will look?! Let us know what you are thinking so we can work together to make an awesome product
What happens if someone is tired or drunk and can't see what gear their in? They might throw it in reverse and plow into the police officer thats parked behind them.
I know that driving while tired or drunk is not a good idea but what if someone loans their car to a friend. Not having that indicator would increas the likelyhood that they would screw up the car.
I think it would look fine if they cut out slots for the factory lighting to show through and outlined the numbers in red. That way we could just change the color of the factory lighting to whatever color we wanted.

i vote that they just make the regular indiglo gauges, it will look good with either version of the cluster that you have wether it be indiglo or the halo or the reverse. if you let someone drive your car that doesnt know what gear they are in thats your own fault. i havent had a light on mine for a long time now and havent had a problem shifting gears. most intelligent people can figure it out with out the shift indicator and if they cant they will just end up in overdrive instead of drive. thats just my opinion

Well guys, I'm not sure if all of you here know about the reverse gauge overlays and the problems with them, but to make a long story short SR made the wrong style overlays, and then promised to make the correct ones and trade us for the incorrect ones. I sent my set and CW racing's set in over 60 days ago for exchange, and still haven't seen my replacements yet. I also haven't gotten the cluster we sent in for them to work with either.
So, until I get my overlays and CWracing's overlays and cluster in I'm not spending another penny with SR. If all of us that have replacement gauge overlays due us get our overlays in and they are correct, I will go ahead and do the buy in for the HVAC overlays, but not before.

Sup everyone.
Alloy, you're right for waiting, as I will be too. I just got of the phone with Shaun from SR, who told me the replacements are in the mail and expect them in 2-3 days. The HVAC and shift plate overlays buy-in page is up, but I will wait for these replacements to get here first.

These overlays are NOT going to be the regular indiglo, they WILL BE REVERSE INDIGLO! Don't let the picture confuse you. I've made certain of this with Shaun.

CaysE,
Did he say how they were going to handle the shift plate? The email he sent me said that they really don't have a way to do plate unless we are were willing to dump the stock lighting and the gear indicator. For me, I don't have indicator that shows what gear I'm in so I would prefer to dump the stock lighting and make the (full) letters glow, and not just an outline around them.

I would love to have them make the reverse glow ac/heater panel. That would look so much nicer and then if you want to use the shift panel, just keep that regular unless you want to ditch your stock lighting. But I really would want the reverse glow ac/heater more than the shifter plate. So if you hear anything about that, please tell me.
Of course you would dump the stock lighting... with reverse indiglo, you don't need it. I already talked to Shaun and told him that there's no indicator, so they're going ahead and designing it.
I'm not sure about the differences in years. As far as I know, not much has changed from 82-92 regarding the auto shift plate or the HVAC controls. The overlays should work for all years CAMAROS. I have no idea about Firebirds. And to restate, these plates have P-R-N-OD-D-2-1 for four-gear automatics, and the HVAC controls are for A/C equipped cars only.

I don't know what the difference is between a 92 and earlier years as far as the shift plate goes. I don't understand how you would want these overlays and want to keep the stock lighting at the same time. The whole reason these overlays are being made is to do something different from stock.
The shift plate on my car lights up with one bulb, that's it. There's no shift indicator. When you put the overlay on it, you don't need the stock lighting; there's no point in keeping that bulb because the overlay lights itself up. The same goes for the HVAC controls.
If you want to keep stock lighting, why are you getting overlays for your car? I don't get it.

Well after months of waiting, and waiting, and.....well more waiting I finally got my set, and Cory's set of reverse indiglo gauge overlays in the mail today. They came with a different power supply and a on/off switch type of setup. But, that's all I got. Cory's cluster is still MIA. So, I guess another call to SR on Monday is in order.
As I said before, until everyone gets there overlays and I get Cory's cluster back in my hot little hands, I'm not going to do the the buy in for the HVAC stuff.

Yes, there will be an option (or should be) when you order the buy-in, to have both or just the HVAC. If it's not set up when someone makes the first buy-in, let me know. I will yet again sort it out with Shaun.
(and this marks my 1000th post! woop!)

OK, what the fuuk, I just recieved my replacement overlays, and the speedometer looks great, but the numbers on the tachometer are in a different font! And a tasteless one at that. ***, I am getting really sick of this ****.

I'm just going to keep these and call it good. Next time if there are any parts to be developed, unless it's me doing the developing I'm keeping the heck out of it!
The fonts on my tach do NOT look like these. These just look like ***. I'm sick of dealing with these people anymore. I'm getting my money and my **** back, and making my own custom lighting. How can the oil pressure gauge on the tach be the correct font and the rest of the gauge be wrong? This is so f'ed up.
[EDIT]Look at this cluster. It's hard to tell, but the fonts are definitely the same on the tach as on the speedo. This one, too.
