So Casye, have you given up on S/R Motorsports? Are they not going to produce the Reverse Indiglow HVAC control panel?
I am in...
Even though they are not the best company they will get these made. On a side not I gave them my credit card information for a buy in before and nothing bad has come of it.
So if you really want these damm things made just purchase a buy in.

Any Overlays!!!
I want to find all/any overlays for my 91 Z28. Put me down for the HVAC and AC/Heat overlays. I need 145mph overlays as well.
Yes I too would like the HVAC Overlays? Are they offering it in the non indiglo overlay also? I think the glowing style would look weird since I do not have the indiglo gauges and personally don't really care for them too much.
If anyone else knows a place that just sells the HVAC overlay let me know.
Thanks,
Sean

HVAC?????
If HVAC is the instrument cluster with mph/rpm and all the dumb stuff then i have a few sites that have a few options.

OK, then we're all still lookin for the same stuff (lol). Only thing i found was a shifter (auto) overlay which comes in white or silver.

I saw these guage overlays on ebay, the ones that are blue and red at night. I like them but like you said, the dumb***** used 2 different fonts
Why do they have 2 different fonts? I recently emailed them asking if they could change it but they take forever to respond... Supreme Member

If there were 145mph BLACK guages but with clear (or white) lettering (yellow = YUCK) then I would ****** them up asap. Same goes for HVAC and shifter plate.
Yeah, I had talked to Pikerboyz through email about it. Does MacEwen make any indiglo overlays, or are they just white-face with stock lighting? I'm thinking if we got Ryan to do this project, it would actually come out right.
For the record, I never saw the test parts I sent to SR ever again. Not that I need them, but they just kinda lost interest once they had that ghey two-font gauge overlay all set up. I still have mine if anyone wants them; I have my own plans in the works.

Yeah it would be nice if we could find someone to actually make some decent guages. I dont like how most of them have the halos and I like the ones that keep the stock font. Maybe we can gather up some interest

Hey I have the reverse indiglo gauge overlays I got from ebay. They're white by day, and the entire guage lights up at night. Really, really cool. That would be the coolest thing in the world for hvac and shift panels that would match, you guys got me very very excited
Only thing is, how would it work. Like for the hvac, would you just glue it on top or what? And also the shift panel one, would I have to break the rivets in the shift plate and stick it on top of the old prod21 and glue it back or what?
And what's the current situation now?
and btw, I don't even have my shift panel lighting up, and I don't have a gear indicator. I honestly don't know why anyone would really need one. I can tell if I'm in OD or D by the way it sounds, the speed I'm going and the tach, and I know what 2nd and first feel like.....

Whats the status of the reverse guages:
I would like 145 mph, A/C Panels, and shifter plate.
Has anyone recieved theirs yet and how is the quality and workmanship.

I just sent speedhut an e-mail. Most of you probably don’t know of them, but they do AMAZING work. I have a full set in my Fiero and they look great, function perfectly, and are an exact fit with no flaws in the workman ship.
I provided a link to this thread in the e-mail so that they can see that the interest is here, but no one is willing to step up and make a decent setup for us. Hopefully they will be willing to take on the challenge if the interest is there.
I will start a new thread depending on their responce.

The problem isn't in availability, as the company that made the gauge overlays CAN make the A/C panel overlays. The problem was their poor communication and hassles we had to go through for very little gain. As for someone stepping up, the process for making these overlays is not easy without the proper equipment.

I'm not sure if your post was directed toward me, but in case it was...
Everything you've said is true. I'm sure that, much like developing anything else in an automotive environment, it takes time to develop the overlays even with the proper tools. I know speedhut is up to the challenge and I can vouch for their good communication skills (had a few questions about my order for the Fiero when I placed it). The only problem I see is them not being interested in developing for us. After all, there are a number of different tach/speedo setups for our cars and they tend to develop everything and not just one component.
Go to their website and play around with something that won't fit our car. They let you choose your font, colors, and everything.
