Small dent repair

Well I got this small dent on my hood last year, just a couple months after I got the car painted. What can I do to get it repaired other than take it somewhere?

the other option is fix it yourself!

-grind off paint a couple inches around the dent and in it
-use filler and sand smooth (finish with 180 grit if using a thick primer otherwise higher grit)
-putty it if it pleases you (optional)
-prime it
-paint it with a matching spray balm (or take it to a paint shop to squirt some on). might be difficult getting only that amount of paint from them though.
-colour sand to remove orange peel and overspray
-polish

forgot to mention a very important step: sand after priming if you are not painting right after priming.
