Your opinion on Hawks fiberglass hatchback

I was wondering what everyone thought of the "new" notchback hatch? I think it might look good painted with the color of the car. What do you guys think? I want to loose all that weight, but Im not sure about lexan. What is your opinion?Oh, and if anyone has more photos, feel free to post them.

what i would do if i had it on my car. was i woulda had something custom made. so the entire hatch doesnt open. so its more of a trunk rather than a hatch. so the actual "notch" of the car is part of the entire body

fyi, that's the hatch made by g&t fiberglass (formerly gt auto) and most of the people on this board don't like it.

Don't like it is an understatement with me. I hate it. Absolutely can't stand the look. From the side its got the same profile as the glass hatch! I say if your gonna go notchback go look for an original, or find a reproduction/aftermarket one thats closer to the factory notchback look. The birds just look so darn cool when the back drops off like well....a notchback. ^_^

Here's the important thing. If YOU like it then buy it. I won't flame you if you do, but you did ask for our opinions. Go for it if you like the hatch, thats all that really matters in the end anyways.

Personally I do not like the look. I think it's too "look at me, I almost have a Testarossa!".

Although I have definately seen much worse mods out there.

Here is a thread on the new notch Bruce is working on! It is very close to the factory version. Closest I have ever seen...

If I ever had that on my car, I would drive it off a cliff. End of that story!
