Replacing Light Switch **** (92 RS)

Hi,

I have a '92 RS convertible, a worn light switch **** (the image is rubbed off), and a new light switch **** (probably the last one in the GM parts inventory, which I had to order from a dealership in California..... and I live in Maine!).

Question is this: How to replace the **** and how to get it done? I think I remember from my '68 GTO, that there was a detent on the back of the light switch, that if you depressed it, you could pull the whole **** and shaft right out of the light switch. Is this the same way?

What is the easiest, least destructive way to accomplish this?

In advance ......... THANKS!!!

Steve
