Ignition Cylinder

Not sure if this would go here...I've misplaced my keys to my 82 TA...I've already turned the whole house upside down and to no avail. I called my local Pontiac parts dept and they said a new ignition cylinder and ignition keys would be $40. They then transferred me to the service dept where they quoted $330 to install it in my car, which I thought was ridiculous...and I'm pretty sure the guy pulled the price out of his ***...at first he though my car had some fancy ignition system on the new cars and I had to remind him I had 82 model a couple time...for wich he then said the $330 quote as opposed to the $450 he had first given me. Anyways my question is how hard is it to install a new ignition cylinder?

Given how much fun I had ripping my steering column appart

it's a pain in the ****... $330 might have been a little much, but with the right tools they could do it in probably just over an hour.

had I the right tools and directions it woulda taken me about 30 mins to pull it appart.. maybe a bit more.. and I'venever done it before.
