Rust!!! Southern/Island folks please enter....
Hello all, I am looking for some direction, in removing/preserving rusty areas. The car is solid, floor pans undercoated, and fende are mint. The problems are noted in the pics. I understand the engine bay/suspension is best done with POR-15. The T-Top area, and firewall lip are my big stress areas. I know nothing about bodywork. The car is coming back with me in 4 years, so i need to get this cancer now. The motor is out, so time isn't important. I just don't have a clue. Hell in New York we would just let the cars rust out and throw them away.....
Pics will follow. Thanks Much, and if the mood strikes you check my other posts, on Tech/History/and Tpi boards.

I'm no body work expert, but I'd at least sand the rust to bare metal, and then prime and spray can paint it. It won't be pretty but at least it won't spread anymore. Hopefully the rust hasn't eaten all the way throught the metal, otherwise you're looking at major body repair that a pro would need to do. Also I'd check under the T top weatherstripping to see if any rust has started there.
Or if you wanna get a decent paint job for cheap, there's an American guy over there named Bo. I'm sure he's still there, you might have heard about him. He has a white Skyline GTR that's pretty badass. He repainted my friend's Skyline GTS-T a couple years back and it turned out alright for what he paid for it. It's a dark purple one, you might have seen it around. His shop is right off hwy 58 next to Kadena going towards Toys R Us. I'm sure if you ask around they'll point you in the right direction.
