Door Key Holes
Just wondering how hard it is to remove the door key holes and replace them. After the panel is off do they just pull out?? Anything I need to know before starting this??

last time i checked all you have to do is pull the inner pannel off and get to the lock then take out all the rods going to it then there should be a clip that holds it in... take a regular screw driver and push the flat side of the clip away from the lock and it should pop right out

Lock swap
I just finished doing my passenger door locks. Found some better ones in the bone yard that still had the keys in the car.
First, carefully remove the door handle and plastic door opening housings. Remember, there are only 4 actual screws on the outer side of the housing. The rest are fake. If you have pwr windows and locks, you will know what I mean.
Second, after the panel removal, cover all of the sharp parts along the door with rags. Skin removes pretty easy on GM products.
The locks are held in place with C-clips and are a real PITA to grab hold of with the door handle rods in the way. Once removing and pushing the lock out, you will have real fun putting the lock rod back in.
I will finish doing the install this week. Haven't put the lock rod on I was so frustrated with them.
