4th Gen deal of the century

So.. i've been wanting to do a 4th gen interior conversion. I've already got the seats (black and red) and I wanted the console and dash... I'd been looking for these parts for about a year on Ebay but they were always so damn expensive. Well last sunday I decided to buy the newspaper for the first time this year, and I see a classified ad for a 97 firebird thats being parted out. So I go to check it out and I pickup the following items for $100
(the car is a 97 formula)

1. The coveted black 4th gen console (with 4 cup holders)with a 6 speed manual and a flawless shifter boot.

2. Entire dash assembly (no cracks!)

3. 150 mph formula speedo

I made out like a villain really. Anyhow, this guy had a 69 camaro that he was puting the LT1 and tranny into. Their actually is a question in this thread... Does the console seriously only bolt down with 2 bolts ? Additionally, who has succesfully gotten their gauge cluster to retrofit ?

Sweet deal.

Yeah, the console only bolts down with the 2 screws in the console compartment. On my T/A, the radio pod kept the front part of the console nice and tight.

Has anyone tried this with a B&M megashifter? It fits, however something within the shifter does not provide enough room for it to shif down past drive without cracking the console. Has anyone else had these problems?

I'm doing an auto console in my car right now and I had to move the shifter down about 3 inches and towards the driver another inch or so. It's easily done by redrilling the screw holes. It should be the same thing with a B&M shifter... ?
