how much do floor pans cost
i was quoted at 475$ a piece for floor pans would that be majorly getting ripped off or is that wat they usualy cost. i dont need them right now but my drivers side floor pan is starting to rust threw and i eventualy want to take care of the entire under carrage prolly durring winter and im getting price quotes right now to see how much ill be spending on the whole process.

If the floors are rusting out, what is the rest of the car like? If the pinch welds at the bottom of the doors are swelled with rust, and the rear wheelwells are rusting- you might want to reconsider patching it up.
If this your toy that you only drive in the summer- don't fix it. Our cars are so cheap and plentiful that you will be WAY better off buying a rust-free car (even if you have to have it shipped from a southern or western state) than welding new panels in a rust-bucket. A lot of times, rust is hidden somewhere and comes back, even after welding in new metal.
If you drive it year-round (including in the winter salt)- go ahead and fix it. It's just going to rust again anyway, so better not to ruin a nice clean car. In that case, $475 ea. for floor pans is probably about right, assuming that is "installed" pricing.

more states need to switch to chemicals instead of salt, i hate colorado but my car likes the dryness and the salt free roads
