Fiberglass FLAT Louvered Hood
It would be the louvered z28/iroc hood. I talked to Hawk's thirdgen at the carlisle show and he said if ten people give deposits of $100 dollars he would do the molds and produce them. These would be an exact replica of an original, just fiberglass. He said the final pirce would be in the 400-500 price range (300-400 minus the deposit). If you don't believe me you can email him, the deposit would be held by him also. The $100 dollar deposit would not be charged till he started the molding and the rest would be due when they are finished. So can i get 9 more people??

IMHO thats way too much for a "stock" looking fiberglass hood
for that same price you can get a SS or ram air hood (or even a large cowl)
i would pay no more than $200 total for such a hood, i state this price becaus i know of places where i can get a stock looking fiberglass hood for $200 that uses the stock latch
sorry, i dont see this happening, although if the price was what i stated i would possibly be interested

Where could you get the stock looking fiberglass hood for 200? I don't want a cowl, ss, or ram air hood i want to keep my car looking stock on the outside, but i want the lighter weight of a fiberglass hood.

I asked about a fiberglass IROC hood a couple of years ago and no one knew where to get one. All the fiberglass hood manufacturers make the plain RS-style flat fiberglass hoods, not a stock looking IROC hood...which is what colinj is talking about.
I'd put a deposit on one now but I already got a Glasstek 2" cowl hood.
