Lower Front Valance on Nose
Hey everyone, I'd like to introduce myself before I ask my question. My name is Danny and I am new to the board, as I just bought a 1991 Camaro RS. (I used to have an 88 Monte Carlo SS, so I am no stranger to the performance side of Chevys.) The car has a lot of stuff already in it, like a complete stereo system with subwoofers, a built in car phone that looks like something from about 10 years ago (I think I might leave it in just for looks), and a hidden radar detector. Whoever owned the car previously did a lot of work to it and dropped a lot of money into her. The only problem I seem to be having is that either the car has been lowered by a lowering kit or the front valance part of the nose is too low to begin with. I can't park my car in my driveway because I scrape the very bottom of this piece on the concrete where the driveway meets the sidewalk and where the sidewalk meets the street. I also noticed that I bottom out on very uneven streets. Is there a way that I can take this bottom piece off so that I won't bottom out, but also without compromising the way the front of the car looks? She looks great, and I don't want to mess up her look, but I know I will eventually if I keep bottoming out. Any help would be so great!

Welcome to the boards!
On my old camaro the ground effects allways rub on slope driveways. and it allways bottom out on bumpey roads. You just have to take more caution and slow down on those kind of roads and drive ways. hope I helped, and good luck with your car!

what piece is it, is it the black semiflexible plastic piece, if it is i wouldnt worry too much about it scraping, but dont take it off because it diverts air into the radiator. lets see some pics of the car , i really want to see the radar detector. If you cant post them email them to me and ill post them for ya .

It's the piece on the very bottom, like the ground effects part, below the semi-flexible black piece. Also, I have no front license plate bracket. Is there a way I can attach my plates when I get them?
I'll be taking pictures probably this weekend. My family lives in NJ, so I've been working for one of the law enforcement agencies there, and it's pretty busy, so I have to try and make some time this weekend, but there will be pics as soon as possible.
