door locks will they fit??
will the door locks from a 92 Rs fit an 86 Z28?
if so how are is it to change them?

Are you talking about the lock cylinder? Because I believe all thirdgens have the same lock cylinder. I pulled a couple off an 82 (IIRC) T/A and they work on my 89. I only replaced one though. Locksmith charged me $15 to rekey it.
To replace it, you gotta take apart your inner door panel, then pull the retaining clip, remove the lock rods, and then remove the lock.
Installation is the reverse of removal (haha don't you hate the Haynes manual?)

You're gonna need a couple of torx bolts and a flat screwdriver. Remove the armrest, remove the door handle trim thing (gotta remove the lock from the rod) then remove the actual door panel w/ the screwdriver, they just popout from the plastic rivets.
To remove the cylinder, you need pliers or some sort to push the retaining clip forward.
