i have a 85 trans am and i need some interior for it i need the panels that go over the 6x9 speakers on both sides i need the panels that go along both sides of the cargo areaand the panel that go around the inside of the hatch.can anyone tell me where to get these cuase my old interior is just plain ugly and torn up

 

Parts for these cars, are, by and large, no problem (thank goodness). I think your biggest problem may be color. From what I've seen, almost any real decent yard will have all or most of the parts you mentioned. Also, if you know the right terminology (for instance, in my '92, the pieces over the rear speakers are known as "sail panels"), eBay can be a great source for parts.

Don't let the color hold you back---be imaginative. If you find the wrong color parts, paint 'em. There's a fairly new paint out; "Krylon Fusion" which is supposed to be formulated to bond with plastic. Looks pretty promising to me. If you can't find a paint that matches your int. color (and you probably won't), consider repainting what you have now. Most interiors would do halfway decently with black trim pieces, and for $5 or $6 per can, and pretty cheap deals on the "new" parts, you haven't much at all to lose.
