painting front bumper?

i just paid $400 to have the front bumper painted and the damn thing's cracking again! is it hopeless to even think you can have the bumper covers painted and have the paint job last? parallel parking is killing me! what's the secret? the guy that painted it swore he put flex solution in the paint, but i'm doubting it. any thoughts?

I just paid 100 to have mine painted with the lower air dam. No signs of cracking or anything. Yet

You might as well forget about fixing it until you move out of the city or get garage space. I know that in Chicago it seems that every car that's parallel parked downtown has scraped up bumpers. We call them "city bumpers" because every car in the city has them.

I had a friend do it at his shop, he said if i didnt know him he would have charged me 200. It would cost about 50 to do it yourself.
