Behind the rear wheels, is there supposed to be a plate that covers the rest of the rear end?

I just had my fuel pump changed, and I never really looked at it, but I do recall something stopping rocks and such from flying and hitting the gas tank etc.. thx

 

There is a big piece of sheet metal taht is supposed to be up there.

 

thx, I'll be talking to the mechanic tomorrow, I thought there was something different, but I didn't want to point the finger without checking first..
